FACULTY-STUDENTS EXCHANGE PROGRAM
After the grand success of 1st edition, faculty and students exchange program " EMBRACE 2024, LUCKNOW 2ND EDITION” was held between Saraswati Dental college & Hospital, Lucknow (SDC&H) and Santosh Dental College, Ghaziabad (SDC), on 29th,30th April & 1st May 2024 at Saraswati Dental college & Hospital. Program was organized by the Department of Orthodontics SDC&H, Lucknow under the MOU.
Dr. Ragni Tandon Professor and Head Department of Orthodontics welcomed Dr. Sugandha Agarwal (External resource person) from BBDCODS, BBDU and from SDC faculty Dr. Mayank Gupta (Reader), and Post graduate students Dr. Komal Garje, Dr. Shambhavi Rajput & Dr. Amrit Singh came to SDC&H under MoU.
Program was inaugurated with Lamp lighting ceremony, Saraswati vandana and welcome speech by Principal,Dr. K. N. Dubey.
25 years SDC&H Special badges were given to SDC faculty and students.
A variety of topics were discussed during 3-day program. Lectures were conducted by Prof. Dr. Pratik Chandra and Dr. Sugandha Agarwal on Research Methodology and Biostatistics. This was followed by wire bending (hands on training session) by Prof. Dr. Aftab Azam.
Functional appliances, history, evolution, patient selection, fabrication and trimming was discussed by Dr. Ragni Tandon and Dr. Pratik Chandra with Bite registration demonstration was also given to the students & discussion were done.
A healthy and productive series of case discussions also took place between students and faculty covering different type of treatment plan and modalities.
Recent trends in invisible aligners and surgical orthodontics were discussed by Prof. Dr. Kamlesh Singh, Dr. Ashish Chauhan and Dr. Mayank Gupta. The post graduate students of department of orthodontics SDC&H & SDC participated enthusiastically.
The departmental alumni Dr. Pratik Chandra and Dr. Mayank Gupta donated digital watch to the department.
Recreational sports activities were held in college campus and city tour were also held. The hospitality was taken care by Dr. Deepa Soni.
The program culminated with the vote of thanks by Dr. Ashish Chauhan.
In future our college faculty and students will be visiting SDC under the MOU.
Faculty and students exchange program primarily it provides a novel teaching-learning experience to the students and faculties involved. Students are benefited from wider exposure. This program is a powerful tool for holistic development.
