5th Col T.S Mathur Oration in Prosthodontics

The 5th Col TS Mathur Oration in Prosthodontics was hosted by the Department of Prosthodontics and Crown & Bridge in the memory of our revered mentor and Hon’ble Chairman Late Col TS Mathur Sir on Tuesday 20th August 2024..The oration was delivered by eminent Sleep Medicine Specialist Dr. Shweta Kanchan , Associate Professor, Department of Physiology , Hind Institute of Medical Sciences and Hospital. The topic of the oration was “Role of Polysomnography (PSG) in Dental Sleep Medicine.” During this session attended by the respected Management , Principal, vice Principal, Dean PG and UG studies , Heads , Faculties of various departments, undergraduates, interns and postgraduates , Dr Shweta Kanchan delineated in detail , about sleep related problems and role of polysomnography(PSG) in diagnosing it. The oration was in particular, an eye opener for post graduate students and budding clinicians. Prof and Head Dr. Devendra Chopra concluded the event by enlightening everyone about the sleep apnea unit in the Department of Prosthodontics and also about the practice of Dental Sleep medicine in the premises using STOP BANG measure since 2012. Prof. Dr Abhishek Gaur encouraged everyone to consider Oral Sleep Apnea in basic OPD and showed his deepest gratitude to all the listeners present.Hon’ble Chairperson Saraswati Group of  Educational Institutions Mrs. Madhu Mathur Ma’am and Hon’ble President Dr. Rajat Mathur Sir graced this occasion.
