Specifications regarding Delivery & Collection of Patient Data.
Specifications for CT Scan:
The CT scan equipment should be calibrated to provide accurate data with a 1:1 ratio
Information needs to be captured and provided in all 3 axes (coronal, sagittal, and axial)
Both Soft and Bone recon done under 1mm should be present (0.625mm ideal)
RAW, unprocessed and uncompressed DICOM data is needed – please share the entire directory/folder after exporting
For the head & neck region, please ensure that the scan of the patient is carried out with the Jaw open with at least 1 cm separation at the molars. If an aid is used to open the Jaw, please ensure that the item is not opaque to radiation and does not cause any interference
Please ensure that there are no artifacts present in the scan. Patient must remain completely still through the entire scan. If the patient moves, the scan must be restarted. Scans with motion distortion will provide inaccurate models.
Artifacts produced by metallic implants such as braces and jewellery can obscure the underlying anatomy. Please take the necessary steps to minimize such artifacts.
