The bane of modern science

Science is synonymous with logical explanation of all physical, chemical and natural processes that occur around us. It is a wonderous potion od unbound knowledge and challenges the seeker to dive to greater depths. Knowledge belongs to those who continuously seek it with unstinted true effort. Successes and failures at learning are complementary, so there is no scope for falsehood. In this age of competition, the inherent lure of staying ahead is so strong that human ethics has become neglected. ‘End justifies the means’ is the blanket justification of all malpractice in learning and acquiring scientific knowledge. Professing something researched and reported by others as ones’ own has become a common practice of the present times. Staying at the top, earning accolarge without the concerted effort has lead to scientific plagiarism which has taken away the very spirit of learning and disseminating knowledge. Life on the fast-track has made the human mind gloss over the basics of ethical existence and has brought in a black speck in the clear fluid of science, vitiating the mindset of the researcher. This parasite needs to be weeded out by all those who pursue scientific investigation as we all have to justify ourselves as conscious humans first .
