In Patients where there are large edentulous spaces, with at times no posterior teeth or multiple edentulous spaces in the arch which contraindicate the use of fixed partial dentures, cast partial dentures are a valuable option. These prostheses have metallic frameworks onto which artificial teeth are fixed. These derive support and grip from the edentulous ridge as well as natural teeth and are comparatively not easily removable like conventional plastic dentures. A little expensive and have better fixity than plastic partial dentures. Why not to try in such situations?
