There is no doubt that social media platforms are benefitting us all in many ways...I guess because of it today multitasking is a common concept. And its a wonder for us how we are managing it all.
We depend on our smartphones for work, school, our personal and social lives. When was the last time we left home without our phone and kept on going? The internet has become a significant part of our daily lives. So too has social media.
And it is having an impact on today’s teens.
The amount of time spent on social sites is astounding. One report indicates the average teen ages 13 to 18 spends about nine hours on social media each day. Teens of age 8 to 12 are on for about six hours a day.
Like most things, using social media has its positives, negatives and worse effects that lurk and impact the lives of many, but especially teens.
We all are very well aware of it and thus its a need of an hour to discuss, teach and mandate maintaining balance between pros and cons of it, as this had to happen and its going to stay.
