Introduction and Education
Prof. (Dr.) Padyumna Misra graduated from King George's Medical College and completed his Post Graduation from the same Institute. A meticulous clinician, Dr. Misra harbor’s the soul of an ardent academician.In his long span of teaching career which amounts to almost 25 years, he has mentored innumerous budding dentists, endodontists and even passed on his passion for academics and sculpted fervid academicians, who go on, passing the legacy forward.

Microendodontics
Optical aids (loupes, microscopes, surgical headlamps, fiber optic handpiece lights, etc.) can improve resolution by many orders of magnitude. For example, a common operating microscope can raise the resolving limit from 0.2 mm to .006 mm (6 microns), which is a dramatic improvement.
Regenerative endodontics
Regenerative endodontics uses the concept of tissue engineering to restore the root canals to a healthy state, allowing for continued development of the root and surrounding tissue.
Surgical endodontics
Endodontic surgery involves surgical procedures to save a tooth that cannot be saved by nonsurgical root canal treatment. It involves various procedures like Abscess drainage, Corrective Surgery, Intentional re-implantation and the most common, Periapical Surgery.
Lasers in Dentistry
Lasers are used to remove caries, disinfect root canal during endodontic therapy and even re-shape gums, biopsy or lesion removal. Lasers can be used to remove a small piece of tissue (called a biopsy) so that it can be examined and to relieve the pain of canker sores.
