A patient reported to our department with a chief complaint of an ulcer and pain in palate since 19 days. Mucormycosis is an uncommon life-threatening fungal infection that occurs mostly in immunocompromised or trauma patients. Agents of mucormycosis (Mucorales) have an intrinsic ability to invade blood vessels and can affect different parts of the body. Indian climatic condition is favourable to growth of mucareles in a manner that reported cases are 80% are more than found elsewhere in world. Cerebro-rhino-orbital mucormycosis is the most common, and the most aggressive. Surgical management was done along with medicinal management with antifungal drugs. Surgical splints were given.
