A 23 year old male patient reported to the Department of Orthodontics, Saraswati Dental College with a chief complaint of forwardly placed teeth and spacing in the upper front region of the jaw since childhood. The patient had no relevant pre-natal, natal and post-natal history. On clinical examination, the patient had a Class I molar relation on both sides with proclined maxillary incisors along with spacing in the same region. Diagnostic records were taken and analysed following which it was decided to be a non-extraction case. Since the patient was concerned about aesthetics, he opted for aesthetic brackets (ceramic). Treatment plan included correction of overjet followed by closure of spaces. Treatment period lasted for about 6-7 months followed by retention period of 6 months to prevent relapse. The patient was satisfied with the treatment results.
