Oral Cancer Detection Center under the aegis of Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology and Oral Microbiology, Saraswati Dental College and Hospital was established in 2012 with a vision to promote good oral health and outcome.
This center is a cutting-edge healthcare facility dedicated for early detection and prevention of oral cancer by screening the patients particularly with vital stains i.e., Methylene Blue, Toluidine Blue and Lugol’s Iodine, educating patients about the deleterious effects of tobacco, betal nut and its products by highly trained professionals. The department has also established QR coded Museum of Oral Pathology infront of this center which has immensely assisted in patients’ education.

Awareness Programs, Outreach and Extension Activities: Conducting various awareness programs and Outreach/Extension Activities by organizing various camps in nearby rural areas. The department also create awareness about oral cancer by conduction various activities on the occasion of No Tobacco Day and World Head and Neck Cancer Day.
